Our School

Bloomfield Maples Montessori, founded in 1983, offers an educational program with over 30 years of academic excellence. It is conveniently located in beautiful West Bloomfield on over two wooded acres. We offer a Montessori program that adheres to Dr. Maria Montessori’s principles of “following the child.” Our authentic Montessori classrooms bring out the best in children, allowing them to follow their own natural course of development, yet helping them to acquire valuable life skills. We are staffed by certified Montessori teachers and support staff that combine competence, warmth and years of experience. The students flourish in a stimulating specially prepared environment offering a highly academic program based on an individualized education. It is tailored to each child’s learning style and capabilities that allows students the natural curiosity and self-confidence to thrive. Our intent is to offer a comprehensive education leading to independent thought, self-directed learning and problem solving. Under the direction of experienced Montessori directresses in a specially prepared environment we are committed to nurturing each child intellectually, emotionally and socially. Our goal is to develop each individual into a responsible contributor to the global community by focusing on building confidence, empathy for others and the development of character, social responsibility and leadership.
