Kindergarten Level
As part of the three year program students completing the kindergarten curriculum show the confidence that will carry them throughout their academic career. With the lower student to teacher ratios, students are given individualized attention to move from concrete materials to abstract thinking. They also will have developed strong study skills with concentration and independent study. Kindergarten students become strong readers, work with the four operations in math and are competent writers. Cultural Activities provide enrichment in various areas of Science, Social Studies, Art and Music. These areas are a natural extension of the classroom, capitalizing on the child’s innate curiosity and creativity. The students foster an appreciation for the world around them through their cultural investigations and experiences. Social skills are refined as the children accept more responsibilities within the mixed age group. Kindergarten children serve as mentors and role models for the younger students, and are very proud of their status as class leaders.
